This method is deprecated from Cordys BOP 4.1. Instead use localization_get() for translating XForms messages and get() for translating HTML messages.

For backwards compliance, Cordys BOP 4.1 still supports translate() method in the existing templates that are upgraded from the earlier versions of Process Platform. However, translate() method is not be used from this version.
